A large component of our brand awareness is not only telling people “we care" but also in our actions. Our
involvement in raising money for charity's such as the Battersea Dog & Cats home & Dogs for the Disabled is a way to show the general public that we really do care.
Dogs for the Diasbled
The Pooch Mobile franchisees from all over the UK on behalf of Dogs for the
Disabled are raising funds by selling a specially commissioned “Big Dogs” calendar. The calendar was the brainchild of Mike Ball who owns and operates
the The Pooch Mobile in the Southport area. Mike called on local businesses in his area to kindly sponsor the printing of the Calendar and arranged for the
dogs to be photographed by a local photographer (Samantha Scurfield of Newlight Studios). The dogs featured in the calendar are all customers of Mike’s
and were given the full hydrobathing treatment prior to the photo shoot. The assistance dogs allow the disabled to live a more normal lifestyle.
The Calendar raised an impressive £3250. This was a huge contribution to
assist with the costs of a puppy and it’s lifelong training and support.
Animal Welfare
Over the past six years The Pooch Mobile UK has supported a number of Welfare agency’s. One event in particular raised an
impressive amount of £2337 for the Battersea Dog & Cats Home through the sponsered walk in PERU in 2004.
Charity Bathathons
A team of our operators get together and raise much needed funds for
local schools, community organisations/clubs and various charities by bathing loads of dogs. The members of the public are encouraged to bring their pooch along to be bathed and the proceeds are donated to
the event holders.
