The Pooch Mobile Family

Just as we love to find out about you & your pooch we thought that you might like to know a little bit more about your local Pooch Mobile operators. So on a regular basis we will update this page with a profile on a Pooch Mobile operator and to start things off we would love for you to meet the following fantastic, caring, professional and fun loving people.

Mike Ball - Southport
In September 2003  the third person to take on a Pooch Mobile franchise in the UK was Mike Ball and since then he has worked tirelessly to establish a premier dog washing service in the Southport area (having a number of celebrity client).

The pooches and his customers are only one of Mike's true loves, he is also a prolific fundraiser for charities. Over the years Mike has raised in excess of 10,000 pounds for such causes as the Anthony Nolan Trust, The Marina Dalglish Appeal, RSPCA, Dogs for the Disabled, Cancer Research. Mike was the brainchild of a fundraising calendar, calling on local businesses in his area to kindly sponsor the printing of the Calendar and arranged for the dogs to be photographed by a local photographer (Samantha Scurfield of Newlight Studios). The dogs featured in the calendar were all customers of Mike's and were given the full hydrobathing treatment prior to the photo shoot.

Mike was awarded the ``Community Award" for 2007 by his peers at the Annual Pooch Mobile Conference.
Mike is currently raising funds for the Dogs For The Disabled again through an event ``Pooch Mobile & Friends Tandum Skydive". If you would like to show your support for Mike and do your bit for a great cause you can sponsor his jump by visiting www.justgiving.com/poochmobileinsouthport webpage. The jump is scheduled for August 24th 2008.

Maxine Berry - Banbury/Brackley

Maxine joined The Pooch Mobile in November 2004 after giving up her job as a Truck Rental Manager and hasn't looked back since. In 2005 she was rewarded for all of her hard work when she was awarded Franchisee of the Year at the Annual Pooch Mobile Conference, since then she has gone on to win Top Retail Sales in 2006 and the Marketing Award in 2007….. watch this space for 2008!!

Maxine has gone from strength to strength, which she attributes to the fact the she loves running her own business as well as loving her 4 legged customers not to mention the strong rapport she has with her 2 legged customers. ``My only regret was that I wish I had discovered the Pooch Mobile a few years earlier as I have never had so much fun". Says Maxine.
